To improve the access of children of employees and workers to post-secondary or tertiary education in courses affiliated with IOI’s current and future needs (e.g., engineering, electrical, etc.). Educational assistance for vocational and college degrees will serve as the primary intervention. In addition, non-formal education (e.g., financial literacy, summer refresher sessions on English, etc.) for employees and workers’ wives and/or other family members will also be initiated.

Scholarship – IOI launched its Scholarship Program in 2013. This is aimed at providing full educational benefit to children of deserving workers. IOI targets giving this support to workers who have been medically repatriated and unable to return to work or have been with IOI the past 5 years and more.

In 2017, IOI extended this benefit to its employees to help or assist those who would like to finish their studies or pursue further education.
